Every first Friday of the month you'll have one of the best parties of the city at Hotel Arena. It's a fantastic club and the 90's party is fantastic. The crowd is young, I'd say around 21-35 years old, but everyone is very relaxed. Make sure to get here on time. It's a very popular night spot for locals.
Since its opening, the Jimmy Woo is the place to be in the Amsterdam nightlife. The interior is a tight mix of modern design with Asian influences. Upstairs you’ll find a lounge area with a black bar, black leather sofas and opium tables. The dance floor is downstairs with its revolutionary digital Matrix ceiling with 12.000 light bulbs and an excellent sound system. The Jimmy Woo is mostly famous for its selective door policy. Either you’re on the guest list, or you join the queue hoping the door bitch will favor you. An ultra fashionable outfit will surely do the trick!

Amsterdam clubbing tips

Amsterdam has a number of good clubs and new ones are opening all the time. Some of the most famous are The Paradiso, located at Weteringschans 6–8, and The Melkweg located at Lijnbaansgracht 234 are always a good spot at weekends. Amsterdam biggest and most famous club is  Escape which is located on Rembrandtplein which runs different nights each month as well as it's regular Saturday ‘Chemistry’ night which is very famous and hugely popular, attracting some big names in the  international DJ world. The queues outside can be huge and getting in is not guaranteed. A group of guys together will NOT get in. Best ask a girl in the queue if you can go in with her. A few other regular hot spots are Sinners / Heaven, Panama and Club More.
