Cannes sightseeing is incomplete without the picturesque landscapes, exotic beaches and the historical Cannes sights. The long Boulevard de la Croisette is Cannes' central attraction, with 12km of sandy beaches. Further west, along the seafront, are the free sandy beaches where the locals gather along the Plages du Midi.

In the city centre, the rue Meynadier is the ideal place to take in the Mediterranean atmosphere. Opposite the port, the Allées de Liberté is the ideal place for a game of pétanque. You also should visit the Croix des Gardes, which can be found towards the west. This hill offers a beautiful panoramic view and it is almost completely covered with mimosas, especially in February when the trees are in bloom.
