Livorno shops offer a wide range of products and prices, from the popular Livorno markets to shops and stores selling designer label clothes, shoes and accessories. Livorno is a fairly big town, so you can get most things in the centre of Livorno. Here you’ll find the best Livorno shopping centers. Most shops in Livorno open at about 9.00 or 9.30am and many close for lunch at 12.30 or 1pm. Some of the larger stores and chain stores now stay open all day, but they are still a minority. Afternoon shopping hours in Livorno start at about 4pm but this can be later in the summer. They generally close at 8pm.

Most of the stores on Livorno's Via Grande are well-known chain stores selling good quality clothes and shoes. There are also a number of perfumeries, a couple of book shops, one of Livorno's biggest music shops, and some local jewelers, as well as plenty of cafés for mid-shopping coffee breaks.

Small shops and workshops

Away from Livorno’s main shopping centre, in places that you would probably never find by accident, there are a number of small shops and workshops where some very creative Livornese ladies spend their time channeling their artistic energies into making a surprising variety of highly original handmade objects.
